The Omaha Parks and Recreation Department provides many free and low-cost recreational activities and events throughout the year. We've listed many youth and adult activities and special events below, but also make sure to browse through our online Activity Registration System, RecTrac. Under the "Browse Activities" tab you may search by location, keyword or activity type.

Adventure Cards
Adventure cards may be purchased as a gift of for personal use to try one or many of the activities listed. 

Bridge Beats
Bring your whole family and enjoy free, live music as you take in beautiful views of the Missouri River and stroll across the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge. Bridge Beats is every Friday starting June 29, 2018.

City Wide Sports Adult Leagues
Get your friends, neighbors and coworkers together to play! Parks and Recreation provides opportunities for adult organized team sports all year round

Omaha Parks & Recreation operates eight outstanding municipal golf courses that challenge golfers of all skill levels. Each course offers public golf, league and tournament play, concessions, pro shop service, and lessons. We also offer free golf clinics for youth ages 8 to 14. 

Hummel Day Camp
Hummel Day Camp is an outdoor nature-based program that has remained a symbol of summer fun for Omaha's children for over 65 years.  Hummel brings back many traditional summer camp activities including archery, nature hikes, wilderness skills, water and mud activities, outdoor cooking, camp songs, but also adds new favorites like Gaga and 9 Square in the Air!

Hydrant Parties
Keep cool all summer long with hydrant parties! Splash away when the Omaha Parks and Recreation Department comes to your neighborhood to unleash the fun at three different locations every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from June 10 through August 2, 2019.

Ice Skating
Our Motto McLean Ice Arena operates year-round and features locker rooms, a coaches room, birthday party packages, many family and kid friendly events, meeting space, and a full service snack bar.

Summer Day Camps
Make your summer memorable by joining one of our summer day camps! The City of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department has provided kids with lasting memories for over 65 years at Hummel Day Camp and looks forward to spreading the fun throughout the city at new locations such as Hanscom &  Zorinsky. Don't miss out in the summer time fun!

Swimming & Aquatics
Looking to make a splash? Visit one of our 15 outdoor pools, eight spraygrounds or three indoor pools. Sign up for swim lessons, join a swim and dive team or purchase a pool pass.

Omaha has over 120 tennis courts around the city but only at Hanscom Indoor and Koch Outdoor Tennis Center can you get the real experience at one of our 26 outdoor and eight indoor courts. Lessons, clinics and leagues are offered for all ages throughout the year.

Therapeutic Recreation
Through our Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion Services we provide a variety of recreation and leisure activities for persons with disabilities at various facilities throughout the city. Many of these activities include weekly weight lifting, water exercise and fit classes.

Trap & Skeet
Shooting Trap, Skeet and Sporting clays is an exciting outdoor experience for all family members. Our newly renovated Trap & Skeet facility welcomes all levels of shooters from the first timers to the old timers.
