FREEDOM PARK
Freedom Park and Freedom Park Road remain closed

N.P. DODGE PARK
The softball complex at N.P. Dodge Park remains closed.

TRAILS

144th STREET TRAIL

  • Trail on west side of S. 144th Street closed for drainage work for West Farms/South Farms Development from Pacific to Pine Streets. Closed from December 27, 2017 through January 17, 2018.  No detour suggested.
  • Trail on east side of S. 144th Street from Pacific to Pine Streets remains closed for utility relocations as part of the West Farms/South Farms Development. No detour suggested.
  • Trail currently closed on both the east and west sides of 144th Street and West Dodge Expressway for intersection improvements due to the West Farms/South Farms Development. No detour suggested.

BIG PAPIO TRAIL

  • Big Papio Trail Extension Project - Hefflinger Park to Tranquility Park. Work would be undertaken at the time that Public Works undertakes the widening N. 120th Street at West Maple Road.  Tentatively scheduled for 2020 or 2021.

KEYSTONE TRAIL

  • Section of the Keystone Trail from Roberts Park to West Dodge Road will close on Monday, March 5, 2018. Closure is for the City to install a new retaining wall at the Cass Street underpass. Trail will reopen on Friday, April 13, 2018

RIVERFRONT TRAIL NORTH  (Kiwanis Park to Washington County Line)

  • Riverfront Trail Phase IV - Project involves the design of the final one mile section of the Riverfront Trail along Abbott Drive from Millers Landing Park to Kiwanis Park and the design of the Levi Carter Park Trail along the north and west sides of the lake. Drawings are 60% complete.  Still working on the environmental documents for the project.  Project to go out to bid in the fall of 2018 with construction to follow.

RIVERFRONT TRAIL SOUTH  (Heartland of America Park to Veterans Memorial Bridge)

  • Conceptual design completed in 2012. No schedule set yet for this project.

STANDING BEAR LAKE & RECREATION AREA TRAIL

  • Connector path from N. 134th Avenue (southeast side of the lake) is currently closed due to erosion. The City is working with an engineering firm to develop a solution to the erosion. Construction of a new connector path will begin late in April 2018. 

TURNER BOULEVARD TRAIL

  • Turner Boulevard Trail from S. 36th & Pacific Streets to the Field Club Trail -- Design is complete. Construction to start in June 2018. 

WEST PAPIO TRAIL

  • West Papio Trail Extension Project - “Q” Street south to Giles Road - Project is currently under construction.
