The Omaha Parks and Recreation Department has many volunteer opportunities for those interested in serving our community through our VIP Volunteer In Parks Program

Whether you are an individual or group of any age looking to volunteer for a one-time event or an ongoing project we have an opportunity for you!  From fun recreation events to park clean-up and improvement projects there are numerous ways to offer your service.

Recreation 64 

Our Recreation Department hosts fun events all year long that we need volunteer assistance for. Some upcoming opportunities are listed below, check out the Volunteer Events button at the bottom of the page for the full list.

Help keep our parks beautiful, hold a park clean-up in any of our 250+ parks. Help with projects ranging from litter pick up to mulching park trees, painting benches, picnic shelters and more. Contact jenna.kleine@cityofomaha.org to reserve our VIP tool trailer for your clean-up. 
 Gardening 64 GARDENING
Have a green thumb? Assist us in beautifying and maintaining our community vegetable and flower gardens at our parks and Community Centers.
 Community Service 64 COMMUNITY SERVICE
