The Omaha Park and Recreation Advisory Board is a seven-member Board whose members normally meet quarterly on the first Thursday of February, May, August and November (unless it falls on a holiday) at 2:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department, 1819 Farnam St., Suite 701. The Board has the power to advise the Mayor, City Council and Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department on matters concerning parks and recreation including:

  • Land acquisition for parks, boulevards, and trails
  • Park, boulevard and trail improvement plans and costs
  • Naming of a park or recreation facility

Board meetings are open to the public in accordance with the State of Nebraska Open Meeting Act.
