The Parks Planning Division is responsible for managing the design and implementation of new projects in our parks, recreation facilities and boulevards including:

  • Designing park improvement projects including trails, sports facilities, picnic areas, playgrounds, and landscaping
  • Overseeing construction of park improvements
  • Coordinating park building design and construction projects
  • Meeting with the public to solicit input of new projects
  • Working with neighborhoods and donors to implement privately financed park projects
  • Managing the development of studies and long range plans including the Park Rehabilitation Master Plan, Pool Plan, and Tennis Court Survey
