The Park & Recreation Department's Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion Services provide recreation and leisure activities for persons with disabilities at various facilities throughout the city. Indoor walking, weight lifting, water exercise, and fitness classes are offered throughout the week.  The City also offers special events throughout the year.

Classes

As part of our Therapeutic Recreation program, we offer special classes at Mockingbird Hills Community Center to fit your fitness needs. The classes we have currently are:

Low Impact Fitness
Water Exercise
Open Gym

Therapeutic Recreation Passes

10 Visit Pass: $30.00
5 Visit Pass: $15.00

You can register for Fitness and Water exercise punch passes at Mockingbird Hills Community Center!

Therapeutic Recreation Safewalk - NEW!
Join us at Saddlebrook Community Center for the new Therapeutic Recreation Safewalk program every Monday-Friday from 11:00-1:00 pm.  Participants can enjoy use of the indoor track and cardio room for free each day during the designated times.  Caretakers are allowed with the participants.  Registration required.  Contact Martie for more information at martie.dunning@cityofomaha.org or 402-932-1080.

Fist and Foot Martial Arts
Did you know that Fist and Foot Martial Arts at the Florence Community Center offers taekwondo for kids that are on the autism spectrum?  Click here for more information!
